7200 Series
1-to-4 kVA General Purpose Linear Amplifiers
7224
The 7224 is a 4-quadrant industrial amplifier/battery simulator that is 2U tall and runs from single phase 120/230VAC. It features DC – 400 kHz bandwidth, controlled-current or controlled-voltage modes of operation, and has a wide range of field-configurable options.
It can be field-configured to run well into loads from 100 ohms to as low as 0.5 ohms. The 7224 is able to produce as much as 50 amps of current and as much as 158 volts, providing serious power for a wide range of applications and experiments. With its 90V/µS slew rate, it is able to accurately reproduce wave forms from DC to above 400 kHz.
Key Performance Capabilities:
- Up to 900 watts RMS power output
- Provides rated long-term power at frequencies up to 40 kHz
- Small signal response up to 1 MHz
- Up to 16A at 13.5 VDC
- Can be used to create series or parallel systems for up to 3x the voltage or 4x the current output
7234
The 7234 provides up to 30A of long-term DC current with surges of up to 50A and can slew voltages at rates of up to 100V/us. It is load-tolerant, able to drive most inductive, capacitive, and resistive loads easily.
The 7234 is light enough to be hand-carried from one test location to another, rugged enough to tolerate being bounced around on a cart, and able to be powered from standard 120V/230V AC Wall power.
Key Performance Capabilities:
- Drop outs and surges as fast a 2µs
- Small signal response up to 1 MHz
- 13.5 VDC at up to 30A
- Field-selectable ±40V, 75V or 150V potential
