7226: Up to 50 Ap/158 Vp, DC to 600 kHz, Single-Phase

7226

Single-phase, 2U, industrial amplifier

  • Up to 2X the long-term power of the 7224 at frequencies above 40 kHz
  • Field-selectable controlled-voltage or controlled-current operation
  • Can be switched between rail supply modes and voltages to optimize for various load impedances
  • Protection circuits guard against over/under voltage, over current, over temperature, and circulating ground currents

Key Performance Capabilities:

  • Up to 900 watts RMS power output
  • Small signal response up to 600 kHz
  • 90 V/µs slew rate
  • Can be used to create series or parallel systems for up to 3 times the voltage or 4 times the current output

The 7226 is a 4-quadrant, 900VA, DC-enabled power amplifier that provides exceptional versatility and value. It features DC - 600 kHz small-signal bandwidth and improved long-term power performance at frequencies above 40 kHz.

The 7226 can be field-configured to run well into loads from 100 ohms to as low as 0.5 ohms. Even with its small bench top size, the 7226 is able to produce as much as 50 amps of current and as much as 158 volts, providing serious power for a wide range of applications and experiments. With its 90V/µS slew rate, it is able to accurately reproduce wave forms from DC to above 600 kHz, making it a great choice for high-speed control applications. With its ability to operate in either Controlled-Voltage or Controlled-Current modes, it can be used in Small Bore MRI and NMR systems, testing of switch-mode power supply components, and driving Helmholtz coils.

Note: Testing performed into resistive loads as specified. Performance reported is typical into the specified load up to 20 kHz frequency levels. Performance may be affected when operating into highly reactive loads or above 20 kHz, reducing maximum voltage, current and power output. *Testing not performed.
